PREGNANCY

The care of pregnancies is one of the most beautiful, but also one of the most responsible tasks of a gynaecologist.

In addition to advising the mother on lifestyle, sport, nutrition and health, the main focus is of course on regular monitoring of the unborn child.

The ultrasound examinations are the best way to assess the size and weight of the baby, the condition and position of the placenta and the amount of amniotic fluid present.

Various malformations can often be detected before the birth and further care can be coordinated accordingly (e.g. by recommending a birth in the appropriate maternity clinic).

Nowadays, Doppler sonography also makes it possible, for example, to detect changes in the baby's supply via the placenta in good time and provide further care accordingly.

This examination allows abnormalities to be diagnosed even if the size and weight of the child, the structure of the placenta and/or the amount of amniotic fluid are not yet noticeable.

Doppler sonographic examinations, e.g. in multiple pregnancies, in women who have experienced gestosis or HELLP syndrome in a previous pregnancy, diabetics, women with an early Fifth-Disease-Infection and pregnant women with high blood pressure, also allow the course of pregnancy to be better assessed in these cases and enable rapid intervention in the event of a deviation from the norm.

Please feel free to contact me at any time about the Doppler examination or arrange an appointment with me.
